There are many sources of electromagnetic fields (EMF) and and radiofrequency radiation (RFR) that exist in the modern home.  It is important to understand some exposures are more hazardous than others based on several risk factors.


Always consider the following:

  • Proximity to the source of EMF / RFR
  • Type of Exposure
  • Strength of the EMF / RFR exposure
  • Duration of exposure (minutes, hours, days, weeks, years)
  • Age of person and their health status
 
Common sources of EMF or RFR include:
 
  • Florescent lights
  • Dimmer Switches
  • Baby monitors
  • Home wiring
  • Electrical switch box
  • Power lines outside
  • Cordless phones and base
  • Smart meters
  • Wireless routers
  • Wireless devices such as laptops, tablets and cell phones
  • Alarm clocks or using a cell phone as an alarm clock
  • Televisions
  • Hair Dryers
  • Household appliances such as refrigerators and dishwashers
  • Microwave oven
  • The neighbor's technology
  • Nearby cell phone tower


Nicole Bijlsma had 10 miscarriages. - An immunologist in the US diagnosed her with an immune issue.  Once she took action to decrease her exposures she was able to have children.  She is now a building biologist and author of Healthy Home Healthy Family. In this lecture she discusses the concerns associated with the use of wireless technologies in the home and explains why the authorities are reluctant to acknowledge a concern.
