Friends of Merrymeeting Bay
Website: http://www.friendsofmerrymeetingbay.org
Email:
Summary:
FOMB works to protect the unique ecosystems of the Bay through research, advocacy, land conservation and education. Over the years some of the toxic issues we have been active in include dioxin, PCB's, mercury and pesticides in schools. The out-of-control proliferation of RF radiation poses an unacceptable risk to all humans and wildlife. While current levels of electro-smog may be highest in urban areas, the mandatory installation of smart meters and the increase in cell towers brings the threat to rural areas as well.
Maine Coalition to Stop Smart Meters
Website: www.mainecoalitiontostopsmartmeters.org
Email:
Summary:
Smart meters are mandatory microwave emitting information-gathering devices on the sides of our homes and businesses. We are a loose group of Mainers dedicated to removing smart meters and replacing them with electromechanical or analog meters that only monitor electricity usage on an aggregate basis and pose no threat to health, safety, and privacy.
